Cambridge Technology Introduces General Scanning Solutions, A Cambridge Technology Business

Lexington, MA, January 1, 2009 – General Scanning Solutions, a Cambridge Technology business, has recently been formed to leverage the world's best optical scanning components into application-specific scanning subsystems and scanning solutions.  "The unique combination of CTI and GSI scanning groups enables us to provide acutely optimized solutions specific to your requirements whether based on high performance, low cost, high stability, extreme environment, or whatever other scanning problem you may have that needs solving." remarked Redmond Aylward, President, Cambridge Technology.  "Our extensive portfolio of scanning products, along with the strongest scanning engineering and support team in the industry  are ready to help bring you the best of both worlds."

The first products from the General Scanning Solutions business were announced at Photonics West, January 2009 and were developed by leveraging the technologies of the newly combined company.  This new line of open-frame and enclosed scan head subsystems utilizes the latest analog and digital galvo and servo technology to economically provide unsurpassed performance.
